HE-CHP High-Efficiency Combined Heat and Power

High-Efficiency Combined Heat and Power (HE-CHP) refers to the simultaneous generation of electricity and useful thermal energy within a single integrated energy system. The heat produced during system operation is recovered and utilised for space heating, domestic hot water production, or to meet the thermal requirements of industrial processes.

With the addition of appropriate equipment, the generated thermal energy can also be used for cooling, creating a Combined Cooling, Heat and Power (CCHP) or Trigeneration system. This approach enables even greater utilisation of the available energy throughout the year.

Cogeneration and trigeneration systems contribute to reducing primary energy consumption, operating costs, and CO₂ emissions. They are particularly suitable for facilities with consistent demand for electricity, heating, and cooling, such as industrial plants, hospitals, hotels, commercial buildings, and large-scale building complexes.

ECC provides comprehensive design and implementation services for cogeneration and trigeneration systems, covering every stage of the project — from energy assessment and feasibility studies to equipment supply, construction, integration with existing infrastructure, commissioning, and maintenance.
